Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
This Week’s Theme:
Things Books Made Me Want To Do
Initial Thoughts:
It’s the hidden truths which you must learn from reading.
Withhold information
You must not have experienced the fun shenanigans of playing keep-away with information that leads to miscommunication and a thousand more pages.
“Hey, I’ve got something to tell you…”
‘Yeah?’
*Silence; repeat forever.*
Trust the children/animals/elderly instead of everyone else
Because apparently bad omens are easily predictable by these parties instead of everyone else walking around without a clue.
Keep swiping right
Keep swiping right. Just keep on keepin’. Everyone is a perfect match for you.
Attain rich companion = stress free future
Satire or otherwise, THIS ONE ACTUALLY HOLDS MERIT OH MY.
Food. Always food.
Two extremes: food either ceases to exist or it comes up randomly. It has instilled a false sense of security to food; especially when the fridge is still too far.
Mope more than usual
You’ve earned it.
Spend copious amounts of money
As a Hardcover connoisseur, life is expensive; not to mention the slow and steady increase of book prices. Damnit.
Walk around like some omniscient boss
“HE TURNED THE DOORKNOB EVER SO SLOWL—“
‘Dude, stfu and open the damn door.’
I laff.
Overthrow EVERYTHING
You are hope. You are humanity. You are everything in the fucking dictionary. SO CONQUER. THAT. SALAD. (Note: I really do enjoy salads though.)
Afterthoughts:
If you took any of that seriously, we need to have a chat…
Cheers,
Joey

As always, I really like the way you went about this topic. The more general approach works really well, because I am having such a hard time thinking of ten particular skills from ten different books that I want to attain … with all my rambling I am just trying to say that this was a great post 😀

First “keep on keepin'” made me think of the MC Lyte song from back in the day. I loved that song for some reason… But anyways. This was pretty perfect. I loved it!

I wasn’t a hardback snob until I met bloggers like you… Joining bookstagram certainly didn’t help with the book buying either. 😂

Hardbacks are tempting, especially the special editions. But they take up so much space… My TTT
