[Top Ten Tuesday] – #68 – Ten Books That Embrace Diversity

Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. I thought this would be a fun way to share a condensed version of potential rambles and thoughts that I have.

This Week’s Theme:
Ten Books That Embrace Diversity

Initial Thoughts:

Today’s prompt looks at books that foster diversity in its storytelling. I do have qualms about the title of the prompt (re: celebrating diversity) but more on that after. I’ll be basing this list on books I’ve read and several I hope to read in the future (you know how it is with TBRs).

(I also lied–it’s way more than 10.)

[Top Ten Tuesday] – #67 – Top Ten Hyped Books I’ve Yet To Read

This Week’s Theme:
Top Ten Hyped Books I’ve Yet To Read

Initial Thoughts:

What a silly (and easy) topic to write about. I am forever notorious as the one who has not read the hyped about books. But instead of me listing Harry Potter (which I dropped for the films) or Red Queen (which I will read this summer), let me try to find some hyped books I haven’t talked about in a while. Doesn’t it also feel like we’ve visited this topic many times before this? Jokes on you–it’s because I read slow enough that these lists continue to transfer over.

The titles listed are ones that I found myself hyping up [to myself] more than what the community has encouraged. I’d want to read about many of these sooner (than later) but you know how it is with being a perpetual mood reader.

This Week’s Theme:
Top Ten TV Moments (So Far) in 2015

Initial Thoughts:

Today’s prompt looks at our Top Ten Favourite Books (so far) of 2015—and it’s one I could complete—but considering I’ve been slumping for months and read exactly 10 books this year (most of them suffering from mediocrity–imo), I’m going to have to adapt this week’s theme to something I’m more familiar with. I thought about including films into the mix but I figured television had enough substance for me to roll around and die in feels with. Hopefully this doesn’t decrease my street cred as a book blogger.

But really, the only requirement for moments to stand out to me are: a) to make me have feels or b) to make me think WTFFFF? I’m a simpleton, obviously. All links refer to their IMDB site.

I WILL BE AS CRYPTIC AS POSSIBLE SO AS TO NOT SPOIL ANYTHING LOL.
