Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
This Week’s Theme:
Fall 2016 To Be Read
Initial Thoughts:
My Fall 2016 reading road map seems pretty set in stone as my reading commitments re: ARCs are typically guiding my schedule. That being said, I’m still hoping to keep myself open to have a series binge in November sooooo.
But these books are listed likely in the order they will be read unless random things come up, e.g. “mood”.
Crooked Kingdom (Bardugo)
I am livid my pre-order is arriving on Thursday.
Swarm (Westerfeld)
Though I requested and have the ARC–and it is actually published today–I actually had a derpy experience on Goodreads that’s turning me off from going forward with reviewing this title.
Phantom Limbs (Garner)
You know what vibes I get after reading the blurb for this? Jeff Zentner’s Serpent King vibes. They aren’t the same premise at all but it’s that feeling that it’s a stupendously resilient novel that I will quite enjoy.
A Darkly Beating Heart (Smith)
I am surprised this book (ARC, at least) is relative tiny with a setting that takes place in Japan with time travel.
A Shadow Bright and Burning (Cluess)
Things that burn are always fun. I blame cover lust.
Holding Up The Universe (Niven)
“Let me give this book a try to experience this Niven hype”
Ever The Hunted (Summerill)
Lettuce pretend I never said I was going to read this in Read-A-Thon X and Y…and that you are hearing this for the very first time now.
The Sun Is Also A Star (Yoon)
“Let me give this book a try to experience this Yoon hype”
History is All You Left Me (Silvera)
“Tell me about More Happy Than Not!”
“It broke me.”
— true reasoning for picking this up because I’m really just a masochist. Shit.
I Hunt Killers (Lyga)
I will finally make do on that promise of mine to binge this series. It’s about time.
A Monster Calls (Ness)
THE MOVIE TIE-IN NEW HARDBACK EDITION IS COMING OUT HAAAAAH. I need this in my life. I need Neeson’s groot.
Afterthoughts:
I’m drowning.
Cheers,
Joey

Hey! We actually have one in common this week. I’m looking forward to reading Crooked Kingdom. I’ll probably have to wait longer than you, though. I requested it from the library. I was second in line, so that first person better read fast!
Here are the books I’m looking forward to this fall.

Haha, well somehow your thoughts on More Happy Than Not makes me even more impatient to read that book. It’s staring at me from my gigantic pile of books to read, and I can’t wait to read it. Hope you’ll enjoy Yoon and Niven’s work, they’re both hyped authors, but I enjoyed their stories. But well, I like contemporary A LOT, so, haha 🙂

I’d like to read some of these too. Phantom Limbs was one I had on some kind of ‘buy it list’ which probably got lost in the ether somewhere. Thanks for reminding me about it!
