Miscellaneous is the tagline to store my random posts that don’t really belong elsewhere. It’s more for consistency sake so I can have an itty-bitty picture to follow suit with the post.

 

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, Aug 18th and runs through Sunday, Aug 24th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. Reason for selection:
I started reading this before the read-a-thon started so I’ll just finish it. It is indeed an ARC that I have yet to review lolololol.

 

Catch a Falling Star
Author: Christine M. Butler
Number of Pages: 232

Reason for selection:
I won this in a Goodreads giveaway a while back and I haven’t gotten a chance to read it. My TBR is so malleable but now I will get around to this!

 

Evidence of Things Not Seen
Author: Lindsay Lane
Number of Pages: 224

Reason for selection:
So I went to update my NetGalley account with a review, and then I saw this book and was like “oh, what is this!?” and then I read the first chapter, and then the next. Oops.

 

The Ask and The Answer
Author: Patrick Ness
Number of Pages: 552

Reason for selection:
…okay, I’ll be honest: I needed a physical book to bring on commute on saturdays. And I just picked this up immediately and ran out. (Oops, sorry Catch A Falling Star).

Well, I did sort of finish two novels…ish. Oh well 😀 ~500 pages is still a lot more than my default 0~200 pages per week. I think I’ll make it my goal next round of Bout to find time to partake in challenges and the like.
