Rules:

One: Reading on the couch or on the bed?
Considering how many times I’ve fallen asleep after reading a chapter (more like 5 pages), bed. Plus, it’s much more comfy to me.
Two: Male main character or female main character?
Short answer: does it matter?
Long answer: does it matter?
In terms of what I’ve read “more of”? I couldn’t tell you. But I’ll say this: multi narrator stories are my favourite. No questions.
Three: Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?
All the snacks. Heck, I’ll even eat a full out steak and corn on the cob meal while reading.
Four: Trilogies or quartets?
Unending series seem to be a new trend that just make starting new multi-book stories daunting. There’s something about the finality in a trilogy that’s rather therapeutic (assuming the story provides an ending that you’re okay with).
Five: First person point of view or third person point of view?
Probably third person? I don’t know. It really depends on the story.
Six: Reading at night or in the morning?
Reading at night, rolled up like a burrito in bed all warm and toasty and shit.
Seven: Libraries or bookstores?
…Book Outlet, probably.
Eight: Books that make you laugh or make you cry?
What about a cry from laughing too much? I seldom full out ugly cry with rivers running down my fave when I read (can’t say the same about television and movies though — I cried during Inside Out, okay?). However, I smile and laugh at even the most stupid (and wittiest) of moments in written literature. So books with humour win.
Nine: Black book covers or white book covers?
Black with stained pages like Six of Crows is pretty nice. Crooked Kingdom better be stained, ok?
Ten: Character driven or plot driven stories?
This is quite the doozy. Interesting stories will typically captivate me but if the cast is terrible then it kills most of the premise. Interesting characters being put into interesting circumstances can sometimes make the most boring of books somewhat interesting. IT’S A TOSS UP. I’ll say plot driven because it’s what gets me to pick up the book in the first place.

I know you’re not really into contemporary, but you might like A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall. It has 14 different narrators. None of them are the couple — they’re all watching it unfold. Oh, and one character may just be a squirrel. It was cute.

Haha we’ve definitely spoken about this, and I just don’t know still. It’s neat that I’m in the brain of a squirrel but why do I get a sense of stalker tendencies in this story…LOL.

Ha I’m the opposite with crying. I don’t ugly cry unless my actual life is being awful but I definitely am more likely to have tears on my face for a book than a movie/TV. And yes multi-POVs are THE BEST.

I cried during Inside Out, too, no worries, haha. Though I’m not an example, I’m just a bunch of emotions with two feets haha. (wow what a weird image. sorry about that). and yes reading in bed is perfection ❤

I don’t always do it (if at all, actually) but there’s something therapeutic with using grey noise or rain to sleep to!

“Salty or Sweet snacks?” ALL OF THEM – so accurate 😛 I agree with so many of these answers (also I too have the emotion of a 6 year old and cried at Inside Out ;-; it was touching, okay?)

I love this! I totally agree with the crying thing, there’s just something about seeing it on a screen in front of you with actors and actresses you’ve invested a lot in that makes it so much worse 😩 I know that’s what happened with me watching the outsiders!

Can’t say I remember how I felt in the moment of watching The Outsiders back in 7th or 8th grade but I’ve plenty of nostalgia for that book/film!

I complain that it skewed my schedule but I’m actually quite happy it gave me 4 new posts to tend to LOL so I guess you take the bad with the good (even if the good is really good).
