[Top Ten Tuesday] – #86 – Top Ten Books I Read In 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. I thought this would be a fun way to share a condensed version of potential rambles and thoughts that I have.

This Week’s Theme:
Top Ten Books Read in 2015 –

Initial Thoughts:

If you remember last year, I expanded the “Top Ten Books Read in 2015” to create my own little award show.

So I’m bringing that back! Again, I remind you that the only requirements are that they involve book/comics I’ve experienced for the first time in 2015.

Afterthoughts:

Now it’s your turn! Let me know what you think of some of these (or all of them if you’re willing). But in particular: let me know which book you read during 2015 that you would award the “Best Overall” accolade.

Cheers,
Joey

  1. I like this format, it’s making me really pumped for awards season!

My best overall 2015 read was Burning Kingdoms by Lauren DeStefano (the second book in the Internment Chronicles series).

  2. I love this idea and I definitely agree with a lot of the choices both of you made.

Now on the topic of overall winner, I find this to be a very hard choice but based on the fact that I’m still thinking about these characters months after reading the book I’m going to go with Six of Crows.

  3. You only picked A Darker Shade of Magic for best cover because of the coat, didn’t you? lol

I haven’t read both your and Jenna’s pick for best overall, but All The Light is on my TBR and I’ve looked up the synopsis for The Blackthorn Key and it looks like something I’d enjoy so that book goes in my to-be-TBR pile.
My best overall is Brandon Sanderson’s Words of Radiance.

  4. Jessica Jones is my favourite show of the year! I am so inspired by it. I can’t believe Marvel finally managed to write some decent parts for women. I would like to think it would be reflected in the rest of their work, but I’m not getting my hopes up.

This is such an interesting take on the TTT.

Also FitzSimmons makes me want to CRY. I am not up to date with SHIELD yet, but I seriously can’t take much more.

  5. Love the way you and Jenna decided to do this topic! I really need to read A Darker Shade of Magic ASAP! I was one of the lucky ones able to get it on BO before they sold out!

  6. I’m glad to see so much love for Chaos Walking––that’s my favorite series. 😀 I also love the Lunar Chronicles, and I enjoyed All The Light We Cannot See as well. I think my favorite read of the year is Stand-Off by Andrew Smith. Ooh and Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray. 🙂
