Casting

Damn. When I first heard of who signed on. Much excites. The voice acting for The Monster makes me very happy.

Reaction

IT’S ONLY THE TEASER BUT OH MY GODDDDDDD. I cannot even. I can’t. On a scale one to even, I simply cannot even. Goodbye world…I’m dead.

But personally, I think they should leave the trailer the way it is now. Adding anymore would give too much of the story away and it already provides the appeal for the kiddy audience from a magical realism front with darker undertones that make it an accessible point of intrigue for those older. Blergh. Just my thoughts (they’re probably going to tack on another minute to it…as they do).

Not gonna lie though, Conor’s room is filled with more knick knacks than I imagined BUT THAT’S OKAY.

P.S. If you ever wanted to read a Patrick Ness title, I’d say this one’s a pretty good starting point. You should read the version with the illustrations. Trust.

Sorry for the hype. Just doing my civic duty as a Nessochist.

Cheers,
Joey

    1. You know me, Brandie. The reviewer with a continual resting bitch face (okay, maybe not but I’ve been told I’m a hard one to please for reading) who found 4++++++ in this book! You should read it with your daughter, maybe, it’s a square-book that looks like a picture/children’s book but the tone of it is quite mature.

  1. Omg!!!!! I need to read this now! I want to become a Nessochist so badly! I have two of his books sitting on my shelf that I just need to hurry up and read and then I’ll read Monsters Call.
The trailer looks so dark but at the same time somehow reminds me of The Polar Express (I don’t know why).
