The Blog Most Likely To…
I saw this over at Lucy @ The Reading Date a while back and thought it was a pretty fun topic I could run with; despite Huntley Fitzpatrick being an author I have yet to read. I’ve seen her name far and wide across the book blogosphere though! With the anticipation of her newest title, The Boy Most Likely To, Penguin invited bloggers to share their own superlatives using the feature “The Blog Most Likely To…”
So what’s my superlative?
The Blog Most Likely To: Vomit Nonsense
(…and smile while you’re bombarded with rational incoherence.)
What constitutes a nonsensical vomit?
The pure conviction behind button-mashing all the keystrokes in translating your thoughts into semi-coherent words. Moreover, the point is to hit that post button and share it with the world irrespective of positive or negative commentary (or whether it makes any damn sense at all).
Why all the nonsense?
Two points:
— If you’re like me, your brain is a jerk for reaching toward all sorts of tangents all the fucking time. This isn’t to say that you aren’t able to articulate these jumbled thoughts…it’s just that there’s so much of it blending together that, in truth, there is no end to any discussion; and,
— I share this voice because if not me, then who?
What are some of my favourite rants so far?
From witty satire and snark to a serious look at storytelling tropes and blogging, I think I’ve written about a lot of random topics since I’ve started my Think Aloud discussion feature. (The full list is here.) While I enjoy vomiting every single word, some standout posts to write about were:

At first I wasn’t going to tag anyone to do this (because it’s not a traditional tag) but what the hey, why not? I’ll set the tag limit to 10 but since I haven’t seen much of this superlative-tag around the blogosphere, I’ll give it a big push (because I can):

Afterthoughts:
If you think I have my superlative wrong, let me know what you think it should be. Or, if you’re curious/willing, I’m definitely game in choosing (or providing inspiration?) for your superlative haha (kind of like my book blurbing post).
At the end of the day, this prompt made me evaluate what I think or hope my value is in the blogosphere. It’s pretty vain but I guess you gotta believe in what you’re trying to sell, right? (Stroke my ego some more, thanks!)

This was an interesting read. Because my itching curiosity always wins, what do YOU think my superlative is? Also, I agree with your superlative. You do have to agree with what you sell, yeah.
My favorite rants of yours? Interesting it is! I don’t even know if it’s an official thing to promote Fitzpatrick’s book…I heard about it second hand and just decided to run with it. You have many successes on your domain, Josie! I’m sure you can find one that you think fits that title of “Blog Most Likely To…”

Here’s the thing, and you already know this, but I pretty much love all of your ranty posts. There hasn’t been one I didn’t enjoy! You’d be doing the community a disservice if you ever stopped. Your tangents = endless entertainment for Brandie.

You’ve been a pillar of support throughout most of the NA-ish ones! So eat a cookie on my behalf because your likeness to me reading Hoovie (I typed this instead of Hoover somehow…) or NA in general sparked increasing wtf moments that needed to be discussed. But surely there are more to come (although I only have 1-2 ideas so far…might need to refuel on NA soon).

Well first I think I wanna say that your superlative is pretty accurate. Although you think it’s nonsensical, I’d be inclined to say that I can understand it and it’s very thought-provoking at times. So maybe half-accurate? Eh well either way I love your rant/discussion/think aloud posts so even if you think they’re somewhat nonsensical, they’re very entertaining. I’ll be thinking about my superlative now and I’m not sure what I’ll do but thanks again for tagging me!

Haha, I try to be both full of nonsense but also write in a way that’s [hopefully] taken seriously. Like a “this is pretty random…but he has a point” kind of feeling; so I’m glad it has translated well with you thus far!
