Other Feels:

Television (Not a full list of what I watch):

(If you love to talk television, I’d be more than happy to strike up a conversation with you over twitter.)

Big Brother Canada S3: GOOOOO DIAPER ALLIANCE.

Marvels: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D S2: The entire season buildup to these past episodes have finally come into fruition. The Avengers tie-in!

Marvels: Daredevil S1: I think this show can venture into darker paths without so much a thought to the consequence to network television; which is what I feel SHIELD is limited by. Ugh, I’m not done watching the first season yet though.

Arrow S3: The feels are super real. Although I don’t really appreciate the sudden explosion of Olicity after such a slow burn over two seasons. (Well, maybe I don’t mind.)

iZombie S1: I really like this show! When I think I enjoy one type of Liv best, the next episode one-ups it. Ugh, Gamer-Liv was spot on.

Orphan Black S3: A year-ish has gone by and Maslany kills it on her return. The first episode when they were in that room and you could tell who was who? Amazeballs, seriously. Give her an emmy.

Game  of Thrones S5: It’s baaaaaaack. Now where the hell is Gendry? My ship needs sailing.

The Messengers S1: Not too many feels. I’m guessing the shrug-worthy premise and lacking execution will get this show cancelled.

Reign S2: I’m finding the writing iffy now. But I’ll take the peanuts for my Mande ship (although I guess I do feel bad for Francis…?)

Films:

Furious 7: I didn’t watch the first six films before this but I still felt real attachment to their characters. You’ll be missed, Paul.

It Follows: Solid film with a spot-on soundtrack. It’s confusing good. Highly recommended.

The DUFF: It’s no Mean Girls or Easy A…but it’s been a while since something of that caliber has been released.

Music:

Paris Blohm & Steerner – Fight Forever (feat. Paul Aiden): I’ll basically listen the shit out of anything produced by Paris Blohm.

SNSD – Catch Me If You Can: Legitimately my first kpop song I’ve had on repeat in years.

Wiz Khalifa – See You Again (feat. Charlie Puth): The feels are SUPER REAL here.

Karmina – All The Kings Horses: As seen on Reign S02E19 when Conde…NO :I!!!

Voices In Your Head ICCA 2015 Set – Show Me How You Burlesque, Heroes Listen, Bang My Head: They placed 2nd in this years ICCA’s competition (re: the actual real collegiate Pitch Perfect). Solid set, Youtube it.

Afterthoughts:

Now that reading slump is sort of over…TIME FOR WRITING SLUMP TO PEACE OUT TOO (please?).

I can’t forget to mention that this month was when my buddy got hitched (since pre-school diaper days?). it was an awesome experience with legit wedding planning that made everything smoother than peanut butter. It was also my first time being a man of grooms (groomsman) and it was SUPER feels. I teared when he gave a speech to his rents. Ugh, stop.

Here is dapper-me at the way left being all derpy lolol. Official photos aren’t released yet because they’re still on their honeymoon haha.

  1. Aww, look at you all dressed up! You have to tell me what NA book you read because it’s pretty much KILLING ME. SPILL IT! I really want to see Furious 7 and I love that song. All the feels, seriously.

    1. Okaaaaaaaaaay. For you, I will fill you in.

Let’s start off with background information:

As you may or may not know, I follow Hockey (NHL, primarily), and so after my team wasn’t in contention in playoffs (thankfully, of course, because they’re in a team rebuild), I was like still in that Hockey high (well, I kinda still am since the playoffs are still happening) and so while I was perusing Goodreads, I saw someone marked this book down as TBR (and you know how it is…when someone TBRs something…you kinda want to see what it’s about too.)

After opening it, laughing at the NA-ness of it (because I don’t really read NA that often. Truth.) I was like, well, it’s hockey, let’s see how it’s represented?! (Truth be told, there actually wasn’t that much about the sport–and now I wonder why I didn’t just pick up a sports-genre book. WHO KNOWS, MAYBE I WANTED ROMANCE?!) Anyhow, I picked it up. Read it and here we are today. It’s “The Deal” by Elle Kennedy. Not to forget that it was published early this year and it has 17k ratings?

      Holy bananas.

In truth, I don’t even know how I’m going to review it haha. I tried writing the review and I’m like thinking, “WHERE’S THE WORLD BUILDING THAT I’M SO USED TO?!” Dilemma.

That was a long explanation (I’m not even going to re-read it to check for errors). Anyhow, you should go on a date-night and watch Furious 7!

      1. This just made my day even more because YOU READ “THE DEAL”!!! lololol, I just can’t believe it. That one isn’t even on my TBR list (I’ve seen it on GR a lot lately, tho), but now I kinda want to read it just so we can talk about it. Please do a review, it would be so fun to read!

        1. LOL when you say it like that it’s like I’ve broken a taboo or something!

I know I’m the 1% who will probably complain about all the nonsense in it. It’s not something I really get I guess (like, what delineates a 5-star in NA?!). That being said, it did have some good bantering. So at least there’s that to look forward to if you read it. I won’t say much more or else it’ll just be a rant fest (which I imagine it will be–so I guess in that sense it’s unfair if I review something I don’t truly understand?) Ahhhhh

      1. Ahaha, #struggleofkpopfans. I’m still in that phase, but not as severe as it used to be in high school. I have too many obsessions. I guess there’s worse addictions than book buying and K-pop though. XD

  2. Oh c’mon, Joe, that ship has long since sank. But woohoo for busting that slump! You go treat yourself or something. Also, I’m that guy who thinks he wants to watch this and that series but never gets around to actually watching any. *Facepalm.*

  3. A slump is my worst nightmare! I got through one in April myself, and it feels great to be back on track.I hope you get over it soon!
I am loving Arrow. Olicity is my OTP! I love them but I agree with you! I prefer their slow burn period.
And the dapper you looks dashing!
