Big Brother Canada: From first impressions, I’m rooting for: Jordan, Kevin, Brittnee, Sarah, Willow, …and Sindy with an S (even though she’s probably going to be evicted). The grumpy cat Naeha is growing me. I loathe Graig/Godfrey after what happened yesterday on the live feeds, ugh.
Glee: Peace out, Glee, you were awesome.
The Blacklist: I really ship Tom and Lizzie.
The Flash: Wells… stahp.
Suits: Ugh, the season finale. It hurts. (Also: Norma the battleaxe.)
iZombie: This is a pretty solid show so far! I love the dynamics between the characters especially Liv/Ravi (not that I ship them but their work-lationship is stellar).
The 100: People need to give more credit to Monty instead of always chirping him to hand out get-out-of-jail-cards. le sigh.
House of Cards: Powered through Seas. 3 without even knowing.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: I was surprised by the ridiculousness of this show…in the best way possible.
Films:
The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water: I think it was an alright film. It’s definitely a movie catered to kids but there were moments that I feel adults who grew up watching Spongebob wouold appreciate.
Insurgent: lol.
Afterthoughts:
March involved plenty of baloney in terms of reading and writing blog content. I have so many projects on the back burner including various think alouds and movie reviews but just haven’t gotten around to finalising 😦 but what’s more upsetting is my lack of reading. Ugh. Been averaging basically one book a month in 2015 so far. I’m made of so much fail LOL.
It was a good month (sort of) in terms of writing. It’s still shaping up to be pretty rough around the edges but it’s progress nonetheless! Maybe I’ll share some excerpts when it’s refined…or when I get over the hurdle of sharing a creative extension of myself online haha.

Did you watch Insurgent? It was so…ugh, I wish I could erase that damn box out of my mind but when I think of the movie now (and perhaps the book to a lesser extent) I’ll remember the box. SUDHGASDGVUBASUHBSADHAB.

So I hit “reply” before I even finish what I want to say. Monumental idiot, this boy is. But yeah. Insurgent! *Sighs.* And I’m so excited to read The Alex Crow, but I guess I’ll pick up The Grasshopper Jungle first. Serious question: are you in a reading slump?

I don’t know if I’d call it a slump. Well, if I were to compare this time to last year when i read like a book a week then yeah I guess it is a slump. Otherwise, I’m just television-ing and gaming a whole lot more than I was last year. Plus, a lot of WIP blog posts that are just sitting around. So sad.
I think if a book really captivates me then I can read it pretty quick. But, you know, not every topic can have on-point pacing to keep me engaged! (This isn’t to say that slower reads, i.e. Alex Crow, is worse of a read since it took me a month+ to read on commute.)
There’s so much hate around the topics Smith writes so I’m interested in probably reading Grasshopper Jungle too (at least GJ more than Winger). Serious question: is Smith like one of your favourite // auto-buy authors?

After reading Winger, he DEFINITELY IS! I’d say “please please you have to read that one” but Levi is infuriated, which I think is just the tip of the iceberg, so there’s that.
I think slump is situational? Like, if I were in your position, I’d absolutely count it as a slump, since I’m no TV Junkie and I’ll see that as a way of me consciously avoiding reading. I felt this way with Meg Wolitzer’s The Interesting last year, when reading seemed to be a chore. And it was terrible.
Any road, I hope you find a book that’ll really, really, engage you.

Finding a book to engage me is actually pretty easy, I think. I can just reach into the dystopian pile and boom–excited. (LIke, London’s Guardian is within arm’s reach of me right now lololol). It’s just that I’ve started Sanderson’s Way of Kings that amounts to a slow and steady read (considering I have to absorb the daunting world and all of it’s magical goodness).

When I write intensely, it’s very hard to cut out time for reading. My job eats up most of my day, so I make the most of the time I have left. I love reading so much, it’s hard to make that sacrifice. Worst part? The stack of awesome to-read books keeps growing!!

Agreed! It’s even more fickle for me to find time to write (or even read) when I throw in gaming to the mix; which basically gives me immediate gratification haha. I’m a sucker for short-term happiness.

Really? I feel like EVERYONE on the book blogosphere watches The 100 (at least twitter tells me so haha).
Have you watched any Veronica Roth? iZombie is like a rom-com meets a procedural crime-drama (re: murder mystery of the day type episode). It has enjoyable quirks; particularly in the dialogue! I’d give the pilot a go and see how you like it!
